Favorite Fictional Fathers

OK, favorite real fathers are, of course, my own & my husband. They are truly fantastic dads. (And don't even get me started about my grandpas because they're amazing too.)

But what about those other dads we met while we were growing up, the ones who lived in books? So many children's books feature orphans, with dead or absent fathers. The good guys tend to stand out.

These may be fictional (though some are based on real people), but here are a few of my favorite dads from books:

I LOVE this. I read the first All-of-a-Kind Family book UMPTEEN times when I was a kid, and I never knew it was a series until I was a grown-up!! I've just acquired a couple more of them and want to read through them with Libbie.

Read Ella of All of a Kind Family if you haven't yet. It's the last book in the series and it's great. Such a sweet love story.

Atticus Finch was the first name I thought of when I saw the title of your post on List it Tuesday. I had to come by and see if he made your list. Pa from Little House and Grandpa from Heidi are also classics. Thanks for sharing.

He is a good one but this list was fictional fathers from books. A TV dad list would be an entirely different list and he'd for sure be on it. Might have to do that one next Father's Day...

Thanks for stopping by!
