Destiny of the Republic by Candice Millard. I'm not very far into this one but it's already well written and fascinating.
The Home-Maker by Dorothy Canfield. I'm not sure about this one. I may bail on it because I'm not sure what I expected but this wasn't it.• What did you recently finish reading?

Probably another Josephine Tey mystery or the latest Anne Perry mystery.

ReplyDeleteI looked at the Amazon page for The Homemaker. Disappointing to me because it seems to clearly have a feminist agenda. I really like her chidren's book Understood Betsy, though. Now I feel like I want to go back through and look to see what I may have missed in it!
