Booking Through Thursday

Jamie asks: What was the most emotional read you have ever had?

Our miscarriage in February meant that I spent much of March reading books to try to cope with that loss. Several of those books were helpful, at least one was not.

But the most moving book that I read during that time was:
A Grace Disguised: How the Soul Grows through Loss by Jerry Sittser. One tragic car accident took the lives of the author's mother, wife, and daughter.

I don't think any novel could compare to the absolute heartbreak and hope of this memoir / inspirational book.

What was the most emotional book you've ever read?

Memoirs are great at evoking emotions...the truth of the story often does.
