Organization is like exercise. It's not very effective if you do it only once. - Jill PollackAnd a bonus from one of my favorite decorating writers (I loved her magazine and dearly wish it was still in print):
I want to lead a simple, uncluttered life, I really do. Apparently, I'm incapable of it. - Mary EngelbreitI guess I'm in the middle: I feel like it's a constant battle to control the belongings of six people in a tiny house and I love a good closet / drawer / cabinet clean out. Watching piles of stuff disappear or bringing order to the chaos that is our desk gives me a great thrill than shopping does. (It's true! Possibly sad, but true!) But despite all that, I'm not about to become minimalist any time soon.
What say you? Is too much of a good thing wonderful (to quote Mary Engelbreit)? Or do you keep exercising that organizing muscle and attempt to lead a simple, uncluttered life?
