Back to our Regularly Un-Scheduled Blogging

Today's list of 30 things...oh, wait, no. I finished that series (Go me. I finished something I started!) Now, if you were paying attention, you know at least 900 things about me that you might not have known before.

Now I've forgotten how to blog properly. A month (almost) off will do that to a girl. So, if you have more questions that those 30 posts didn't answer, fire 'em off. I need the blog fodder.

I really ought to be cleaning my house right now. People are coming over tonight to celebrate my birthday. That's right: Prince Charming is throwing me a party. And he cooked two of the most beautiful Black Tie Mousse Cakes I've ever seen. I know they're going to taste great - he let me lick the bowls and spoons last night - once he finished using them of course! I'd hate for any of my guests to think we're unsanitary around here.

The big question: do I feel older? Truthful answer: no. Except for about 23 minutes yesterday. See, Prince Charming took me and all our kiddos (including Fen) to The Zoo. And we had a great time until it was time to leave. [Cue ominous music: dun dun dunnn!]

Then one of my children (coughTiggercough) decided she needed to age her mother by throwing the Fit of the Year. Seriously. People were staring. I ought to have sold tickets.

Not good.

I'll let a veil fall over the particulars. Let's just say that by the time it was over and by the time we got home, I was exhausted.

Just when you think you've got that whole parenting thing figured out...your children prove otherwise.

But I digress. Short answer: no, I do not feel older. I was born old. My actual age is just now catching up with my internal age.

Today the sun is out, our moods are better, the house is almost cleaned up (well, as clean as it's going to get with five children running around), and 30 is looking pretty good.

I promise to be candid and you can be too. Blogging is best when it's a conversation. Thanks for taking the time to read this post and respond. I enjoy hearing what you have to say.
