Words for Wednesday - On Writers

A writer is someone for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people. - Thomas Mann
Yes, it's true. Maybe this next quote can help explain why:
Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor, the enemy of the people. It will keep you cramped and insane your whole life. - Anne Lamott
Someone who wants to write (me) combined with perfectionism (me also): now that's a recipe for fun times.

There was ever only one perfect human being - Jesus! That frees me up to remain as imperfect as always and you too, I'm guessing. Perfectionistic peeps are hard to live with, lol!! Striving for excellence is a good idea though! Have fun writing what the Lord places on your heart!

Really? Is it true that it's hard for writers to write? I thought it was just me. And I know it's because of that perfectionist thing. Is there hope for us? ;)

I promise to be candid and you can be too. Blogging is best when it's a conversation. Thanks for taking the time to read this post and respond. I enjoy hearing what you have to say.
