Confidential to my Mom

Happy Birthday!

I hope you have as much fun as these kids. We'll have to find some party hats like these. I'm pretty sure the hats bring the fun. Although it could be the streamers, I suppose.

Love you! (And, ahem, you can clearly see I haven't mentioned your age...)

Well, hey! Thanks for not mentioning my age! However, the clothing is a dead giveaway. The way the little girls are dressed is identical to the clothing I wore when visiting Disneyland as a small child. Yes, we wore dresses everywhere back in those days. Imagine riding the Flying Dumbo or the Spinning Cups and Saucers in such finery!

Going downtown was especially a "white glove" event. Thankfully, I didn't get downtown too often in those days. And now that I do, denim and sweaters do nicely.

Suffice it to say I must be absolutely ancient! But you've known that for a long time, haven't you? :)

I'm not of the generation that witnessed the Wright brothers' first flight and then Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon, but sometimes I feel like the advances made in my lifetime are just as incredible.

I love you, too! And I'm looking forward to our day together. No party hats or streamers required! Having 4 generations together is plenty of fun.

Happy Birthday to your mom! She gave her age away on her own blog, lol! And yes, she might not have been watching Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon because she was a little wee girl, busy playing and not watching TV. Have a wonderful family celebration! God bless!
