True Story

Whilst waiting for Aunt Princess to come and fetch them for an afternoon Buildin' A Bear, (Side note: isn't whilst a lovely word? We Americans should really use it more. Can't let the Brits have all the good words, you know) my girls are outside playing.

It was reported to me that Sweet Pea may have eaten a fistful of dirt. Just maybe.

So her sisters have ensconced her on our screened in porch. And, lest she be lonely, are now also playing on that porch.

Seconds ago what should drift to my ear but the faint strains of my two oldest girls singing "Kum-ba-ya" together.

And to think, I thought that would never happen.

Enjoy it. These moments are as rare as hen's teeth. (A definitely non-British phrase.)

I cherish my own memories of your "Kum-ba-ya" moments with your own two sisters and I pray for many more to come. We won't discuss the "non-Kum-ba-ya" moments, at least not right now! :)

P.S. Thanks for the birthday thoughts. I felt honored to have my photo juxtaposed right above that of Sweet Pea, who might soon have her blog pseudonym changed to the more apropos "Buster" moniker if her current habits continue!

I promise to be candid and you can be too. Blogging is best when it's a conversation. Thanks for taking the time to read this post and respond. I enjoy hearing what you have to say.
